Will Jews and Christians Go To Hell?
There is no prescription in the Quran about whether Jews and Christians, who still stick to their creed after the revelation of the Quran, are doomed and will go to hell or will not be admitted to paradise, contrary to the pronouncements of the sectarians.
"Surely those who believe; and those who are Jewish, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever of them believes in God and the Last Day and does good works; they will have their recompense with their Lord, and there is no fear upon them, nor will they grieve." (Qur'an 2:62)
The fact that one can marry Jews and Christians, that the state of affliction among the Muslims in the wake of the war lost by the Christians in the verse "The Romans" show how the mentality that condemns them to hell contradicts the Quran. It is to be also noted that not all Jews and Christians have strayed, there are many that "upright" as God tells us:
"They are not all the same, from the people of the Book are a nation that is upright; they recite the revelations of God during the night hours and they prostrate." (Qur'an 3:113)
